Christmas 2020

Today, with funds raised by Gala Bingo, we’re sending presents to 47 young people who will be having Christmas on their own. These young people grew up in the care system for all sorts of reasons, from family breakdown to the loss of a parent. Once they turned 18, they left care and found themselves on their own.

Usually, a team from the local council organise a dinner to make sure they all have someone to spend Christmas with, but this year due to Covid that won’t be possible. With the support of Gala Bingo, we are helping to send Christmas presents to every single one of these young people, to let them know they aren’t alone. We hope it makes their Christmas Day a little bit brighter.
