Today, we’re helping a family from Hereford, who have 3 children with a degenerative, terminal illness called Battens.

Children with Battens lose the ability to walk, talk, see and eat, and rarely live past their teenage years.Their twin boys were diagnosed at age 12, so they had their other 2 children tested. Sadly, their 7 year old daughter also tested positive. For any parent to face losing one child is devastating, but to know they will lose 3 of their 4 children is unimaginable.

The children have hydrotherapy in an above ground pool in their garden, but now they are getting bigger, it’s getting more difficult for them to access the pool.

With funds donated by Gala Bingo, and the support of some other kind donors, we’re buying them a special hoist that will give them easy access to the pool anytime they need it.

We hope they have a wonderful Christmas together and are sending them all our love.
