Request: Gifts from a wishlist / Donations / Messages

This week, we’d like to help a woman called Claire from Cambridgeshire. Claire sadly lost her husband to skin cancer 7 years ago and was left to bring up her 2 boys on her own. 2 years ago, Claire found out she had breast cancer. She has had a mastectomy and reconstruction, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and a hysterectomy. It has been non-stop. Her last operation was in March, and she is still having treatment, which is making her very unwell and causing her a great deal of pain.

Covid-19 has made her situation so much harder. One of Claire’s children has additional needs and usually attends a special school, but he is now being home-schooled. Her new partner has been furloughed, and the whole family is shielding due to Claire being high risk.

The friends that usually help have been unable to come, and Claire is exhausted. By the end of the day she struggles to even walk.

The whole family have been through so much and we would love to do something kind for them.

WHAT WE NEED

1. Gifts from a wishlist: Claire's hands are very weak at the moment, and there are a lot of things that would make her life easier (lightweight appliances, gadgets to help her open things etc). We've set up a wishlist with everything she needs, along with some other items they need for the home, and gifts for her children (her son's birthday is coming up). 2. Donations: Your donations will be used to buy Claire some of the larger things she needs. 100% of what you give will be used to help this family.
