This week, we are trying to help a teenage girl called Caitlyn, and her little sister Alesha.
Caitlyn has disabilities and is classed as vulnerable, so hasn’t been to school since March due to Covid. Her mum said it has affected Caitlyn's mental health. It has also meant she hasn’t been able to have some of the physical therapies she needs, so has also been living in a lot of pain.
Her little sister has a learning disability and multiple health issues. She has had three surgeries in the last six months – the latest was to have a pacemaker fitted.
Their dad is a long distance lorry driver and works away a lot, so the girls are cared for full-time by their mum, Kellie.
It’s been a very tough year for them, and we’d love to do something to help.
Caitlyn’s bed and wardrobe are old and falling to pieces, and her bedroom hasn’t been decorated since she was a little girl. We’d love to give her a new teenage bedroom, and also provide some toys and activities to help keep the children entertained while they are at home.
