Request: Donations / Gifts / Messages

This week, we’d like to help a pregnant single mum called Vicky, who recently escaped domestic violence.

She has a 10 month old baby, a 3 year old, and is expecting her third child.

She was beaten by her partner during lockdown, so took the children and fled to a women’s refuge.

They are now safe and have just moved into a council flat, but they have very little furniture and the flat has bare concrete floor. It’s not at all safe or suitable for young children, and it’s freezing cold. Vicky also needs clothes and toys for her children, and things for her baby.

They were nominated by their social worker, who said Vicky is an incredibly resilient woman and a loving mother. But she is all alone and in need of some support and kindness. We’d like to help.

What We Need

1. Donations: We will use your donations to pay for carpet, and also to buy some of the furniture Vicky needs. Any funds we raise above what is needed will be used to help her in other ways. 100% of what you give will be used to help this family. To donate online, click the button below. (Please note, our donations are processed by a company called 'Enthuse'. They have removed platform fees for 52 Lives and instead ask donors to leave a 'tip'. This is completely optional - if you don't wish to leave a tip please just select 'other amount' and write zero. We will not be charged platform fees regardless of whether you leave a tip).

2. Gifts from a Wishlist: We have set up a wishlist with some things Vicky and the children need. To buy a gift from the wishlist, please click the link below.
