#447 Vicky

Request: Donations / Gifts / Messages

This week, we’d like to help a woman called Vicky who is caring for a terminally ill child on her own after fleeing domestic violence.

Vicky has a 10 year old son with a terminal illness, who she cares for at home. She also has a 6 year old daughter with a severe learning disability.

Vicky recently left her 20 year marriage and has had to start over again in a council flat with nothing – not even carpet on the floor.

Vicky’s day to day life was already extremely challenging for her and now she is doing it all completely alone without all the things they need. It’s physically and emotionally exhausting and we’d like to help make life better for the three of them.

Vicky was nominated by a support worker from another charity who works with the family. She said she couldn’t think of a family more deserving of kindness.

What We Did

You donated more than £3000 worth of money and gifts for Vicky! We've been able to carpet her home, provide kitchenware, bedding, vouchers for clothes and furniture. You also sent her so many kind messages.
Thanks to you, we have been able to help her make a proper home for them. Her support worker said she couldn't think of a family more deserving of kindness, and you have given it to them in abundance! Thank you so much.
