#471 Tess

Request: Donations / Kind Messages

This week, we’d like to help a single mum who has recently been diagnosed with a stage 4 brain tumour.

Tess has an inoperable glioblastoma tumor, which is fast growing. She hasn’t been able to work since her diagnosis and is having daily radiotherapy to try to slow the growth.

Tess has a 12 year old daughter, who she cares for on her own. She's trying to come to terms with what’s happening - particularly around what this will mean for her little girl. Tess’s own mother died of cancer when she was younger. Her father lives nearby but is elderly. So she has the heartbreaking task of trying to make decisions for her daughter’s future care.

In Tess’s job, she works with children who have additional needs. She has spent her whole career helping and supporting others and we’d like to do something to help her.

It’s a really scary and uncertain time for Tess, and we’d like to bring some much-needed joy into her life. It has always been Tess's dream to take her daughter to Disneyland Paris. We’d like to make that happen.
