Record number take part in World Kindness Day assemblies
November 13, 2023 | Latest News
Today is World Kindness Day and our School of Kindness has been running free virtual assemblies for primary school children all over the country!
We just tallied up the numbers and it has exceeded every year so far - more than 65,000 took part in our assemblies today and another 55,000 children will be watching a recording on catch-up.
The assemblies were all led by Greig Trout, who spoke to the children about the work of 52 Lives, the importance of kindness, the science of kindness and the impact they can have on the world. We feel so privileged to be able to work with such a huge number of young people. Thank you to everyone who took part, and thank you to NBB Recycled Furniture for sponsoring our work in schools which means we can keep it all completely free!
We also launched our national Kindness Awards today to celebrate kindness happening in schools all over the UK. We'll be sharing more about that in the next few days but in the meantime, you can find out more and nominate here kindnessawards
